BLU Jazz+ Masterclass Foundation announces Fall lineup

The inaugural season of the BLU Jazz+ Masterclass Foundation is set to debut in grand fashion, with some of the finest jazz talent from around the world converging upon Akron, OH beginning in September 2016.

Committed to the preservation of America’s treasured art form of jazz, BLU Jazz+ Masterclass Foundation (BJMF) is a new program developed by the founders of BLU Jazz+ Akron that brings “front-row” jazz education performance & mentorship opportunities to student musicians and art lovers alike through an ongoing series of special events throughout the year.

World-class touring musicians, or marquee artists, from around the world will visit BLU each month, sharing their experiences and personal insights with aspiring young jazz talent, followed by a full concert experience.

Upcoming marquee artists include Grammy award-winning pianist, Bill Charlap (October 1), signature guitarist & recording artist, Russell Malone (September 14), steel pan virtuoso, Victor Provost (October 20), sensational jazz trumpeter, Dominick Farinacci (October 22), award-winning rising star pianist, Emmet Cohen, and legendary guitar master, Ben Monder.
